Cooperative Learning:
We first read "If Your A Monster And You Know It " by Rebecca Emberly to get excited about drawing monsters. We saw many different kinds of monsters in the story. Next we brainstormed what monsters needed to be scary. Then we talked about how to work together to make one monster by taking turns, doing our best work, and using lots of imagination. Each student drew a part of a monster and joined it with another persons monster part to make one whole monster. It was real fun taking turns and working with each other to make a fun, silly monsters. Last Step, Mrs. Handley put all our monsters to the music from the story and made our class version of "IF YOUR A MONSTER AND YOU KNOW IT" Enjoy! The students asked to sing this song over and over again. We sang the song into November and at the end of the year they were still as excited to sing and see their work on the screen. Our Kindergarten classes put on a Christmas Program for the school and the parents. This is a fun picture we sent to parents to get them excited about our program. The message was the message of our Program.

Using the app " fotobabble" Finding different apps/computer sites to use in the classroom to help the students use different internet sites to help them with their learning.
The "thinglink" site is a fun way to use youtube responsibly . Putting videos in one place that students can click on and find out information on a subject the class is learning is a fun way to introduce or review the unit. The students enjoy making their own choice of what to watch for their learning center time. Teacher knows it is safe and on subject so it is a win win computer learning experience. Mrs. Handley has her 5 Senses and her fun Christmas Traditions Thinglinks below try them out for fun learning. Click on the colored circles to learn about My 5 Senses
